A stylistic review of Mirza Kazem Tabib-Yazdi’s Unique Divan

Abstract
Mirza Kazem Tabib-Yazdi was a physician and a prominent poet of the Qajar period, who is also attributed to the popular Kermanian family known as the Hakiman (the Physician) family and the late Nazim al-Atteba is also a member of this family. The ancestor of this family, Hakim (physician) Nafis ibne Avaz Kermani, was a prominent physician in the eighth and ninth century AD. As Mirza Kazem used to reside in a confined area called Abarkouh, he has remained so far unknown. He holds a Divan which has been written in a poetic regression style and includes Ghazal,Qasida, Masnavi, Mosammat, Ruba’i ,Tarkibband,Tarji’band and combined formats. Mirza Kazem was quite talented in writing X poems especially Y. The present paper first aims at introducing Mirza Kazem Tabib-Yazdi and then discusses the stylistic and innovation features of his poetry.
